Course Leader: James Coughenour

James is a certified John Maxwell Team Coach, Trainer and Speakers, a Certified DISC Practitioners, holds the PMP and PMI-ACP certification from PMI, and has an MBA. James has been teaching PMP boot camps, program / project management, leadership, agile / scrum, and analytic courses. He has trained thousands of students from the government, military, and private industries of all sizes and consistently receives positive feedback and success stories from student passing the PMP exam.

You Will Learn

PMP Prep is an intensive, instructor-led four day course. Course materials provided include copies of PMI's A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK©) and a copy of Rita Mulcahy’s PMP Exam Prep book and CD. The course covers topics such as the 10 knowledge areas and 5 process groups discussed in the PMBOK, test taking tips, and practice exercises to help students prepare for the actual exam.

Certification Requirements

Application requirements include a combination of project related leadership experience and 35 hours (fulfilled through this course) of project management related education.

Obtaining Project Management Institute (PMI)
Professional Development Units (PDUs)

For certified Project Management Professionals (PMPs), you should receive 35 PDUs for this course. You will be provided with a PMI activity number and code during the course.

Curriculum Overview

Evoke’s “Project Management Professional (PMP) Prep” class offers training to help project managers pass the PMP exam as offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). As a Registered Education Provider with PMI, Evoke is able to offer this class to experienced project managers who meet the criteria as outlined by PMI to sit for the PMP exam.
